FIFE PROVOST Jim Leishman has welcomed the Small Business Market to the Kingsgate this week.

The market, which runs once a month in the shopping centre usually will now be running every day from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 5pm on Sundays in the lead-up to the festivities.

Natasha Norbury, the market operator, told the Press: "Yesterday (Monday) Provost of Fife Jim Leishman kindly opened the market and had a browse around the stalls, chatting to the traders and making many purchases.

"The market consists of over 40 small businesses, attending on various days with many there for the full duration of the Christmas Market.

"We will be raising funds for Marie Curie Dunfermline as well supporting other local charities such as Made for Maggie's, Remembering Robyn, Friends of Queen Margaret and Outpost Charity."

To support small businesses this Christmas, head along and pick up something special for yourself or your loved ones from the Small Business Christmas Market, located in the Kingsgate beside Chestnut the Christmas Bear and the giant Christmas tree.
