A TEAM of West Fife dancers have returned from competing at Disneyland Paris with multiple awards under their belts.

Kids from the Act Sing Dance School (ASDS) flew out on October 6 to experience four fun-filled days as they competed and performed in the park and have returned with seven trophies from the event.

Zôe McRae, one of the teachers at ASDS who accompanied the kids, from Inverkeithing and Dunfermline, to Paris, told the Press: "They did really well and had a great time.

"They managed to place in all the categories they were competing in which was insane, we were not expecting that, and then they walked away with three first-place, a second-place and three third-place trophies so it was a really awesome time!"

The group placed first in the All Age Group Halloween Spooktacular with their 'Stranger Things' remix, the Senior Group Disney Musical Theatre Variety category with 'Carrying the Banner' and the All Age Group Disney Musical Theatre section with 'King of New York' before taking second place in the Senior Group Musical Theatre category with their performance of 'Welcome to the Rock'.

They then snapped up third in the Senior Group Jazz section with 'She's a Dancer', the Open Group Dance category with 'Wonderland' and the All Age Group Musical Theatre section with 'One More Try'.

A special award, The Solo Sparkle, was given to Louis McNorton for his performances and for being the only performer on the day to achieve a solo award.

She continued: "The team had such an amazing time performing on stage as well as the competition and the parade, they really held their own out there and were such great ambassadors for Scotland and Fife.

"We as a team are so proud of them and all their achievements over there, the hard work has not stopped and we are working towards our next show in February already with new numbers. One of our students has also just been accepted into one of London's top drama schools too so it's all go!"
