A DRUNK man threatened to “slash” police officers and put bullet hole in them, as he staggered about outside a Rosyth pub.

Michael Reekie, 22, of Shetland Place, Kirkcaldy, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on May 1, last year, at Primrose Lane, Rosyth, he shouted, swore and made threats of violence towards police officers.

Depute fiscal Jill Currie said police had attended the area around Cottars Bar after a report and they found Reekie in a drunken state.

He was outside the bar with his girlfriend and was staggering about.

Officers asked him if he was okay and Reekie clenched his fists shouting: “I’ll f****** slash all the polis. F****** leave me alone or I’ll put bullet holes in you.”

Defence solicitor Calum Harris said his client’s behaviour was the result of consuming alcohol and drugs.

He added: “He’s remorseful. He’d taken far too much to drink and had been having an argument with his then partner just before this. His memory of the incident is very limited.”

The court heard Reekie was already on a community payback order.

Sheriff Wylie Robertson imposed a community payback order with 70 hours of unpaid work.
