THERE were special platinum celebrations at Grants Bank retirement housing in Dunfermline.
Residents Ian and Janet Urquhart, both 94, tied the knot at Scoonie Parish Church on December 6, 1952.
Throughout their working lives, Ian worked as in public practice as a chartered secretary, latterly working in Kirkcaldy before his retiral in 1995, while Janet was an accounts clerk and cashier.
The couple said there wasn't a specific recipe for such a long and happy marriage.
Ian explained: "We have not any magic wands. The best way to describe it is we are on the same wavelength. We are tuned in to the same station."
The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary by hosting a reception for residents at Grants Bank.
