A ROSYTH man has been banned from the roads for drink-driving.
Grant Munro, 41, of Gillway, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted that on December 4, in Rosyth, he drove a van after consuming excess alcohol.
His reading was 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 22 microgrammes.
Defence solicitor Pol Clementsmith asked for his client to be given the chance to take part in the drink-driving rehabilitation course, which leads to a 25 per cent reduction in the ban.
This was despite Munro having undertaken the course following a previous offence.
Sheriff Peter Anderson said: “It begs the question, ‘What’s the point?’ He’s done the course before.”
However, he imposed a two-year ban and decided Munro could attended the course again. He was also fined £470.
