KELTY HEARTS have completed what they have described as a "major coup" by finalising the signing of a highly-rated striker.

Tiwi Daramola, who has netted an incredible 45 goals already this season, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal after joining from Bo'ness Athletic.

The 21-year-old, who previously enjoyed a loan spell with Oakley United during the 2018/19 season, will return to the East of Scotland League, Third Division leaders on loan for the remainder of the season as they chase promotion.

Former Stenhousemuir player Daramola was, Kelty said, sought after by several clubs following his goalscoring exploits with Bo'ness, for whom he netted an incredible 59 goals last term.

Announcing his signing, the club said: "Kelty Hearts FC are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated young attacker, Tiwi Daramola from Bo’ness Athletic on a three and a half year deal.

"The signing signifies a major coup for the club as we had to fight off lots of competition for the much sought after forward’s signature."

Daramola's goal haul this term included a stunning double hat-trick in a 6-3 South Challenge Cup win at East of Scotland League, Premier Division Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts in November, a game which proved to be Pat Scullion's last in charge of the Swifts.

Ian Campbell, head of recruitment with Bo'ness Athletic, added: "We are absolutely delighted to announce the transfer of Tiwi Daramola to Kelty Hearts of League One.

"This falls into line with the model of Bo'ness Athletic of giving young talent the opportunity to showcase their talents and progress on into SPFL football."

The acquisition of Daramola comes after Kelty signed defender, Jack Milne, on loan from Aberdeen until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old made his debut as a second half substitute in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Airdrieonians.
