WORK is starting to replace a faulty pedestrian crossing on Inverkeithing's High Street.
After concerns and questions were raised by residents on when the works would take place, Councillor David Barratt had asked when the new crossing would be installed.
He told the Press: "People's concerns have been about the progress and after initially seeing the pedestrian crossing disappear, people were wondering if it was coming back at all but I think folk are generally happy now that they've had some reassurance that the original poles were taken away and the new ones are to be installed soon.
"The lining, I think that's being done today (Friday), so that lining should be in place and the actual pole installation should follow fairly shortly, probably next week I imagine."
