EMERGENCY crews raced to a suspected fire at Queen Margaret Hospital.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue services mobilised three appliances to the scene this morning (Thursday).
The alert was established to be a false alarm and teams left the area after establishing there was no smoke or fire.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "At 12.39pm on Thursday, 2 February we were alerted by a fire alarm activation system from a building on Whitefield Road, Dunfermline.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene which was a false alarm, and crews left the area after establishing there was no smoke or fire."
