VOLUNTEERS in Dunfermline will be able to hand out more food parcels thanks to a £1000 grant.
The money, acquired by Asda St Leonards community colleague Julie McKell, has been put towards funds for the warm hub at the Link Church on Priory Lane.
It is part of a Cost of Living grant scheme launched in September by the Asda Foundation which aims to support those struggling with rising household bills.
The Link Christian Fellowship hosts weekly community cafe sessions where attendees are offered free hot soup, cakes, fruit, hot drinks, and Wi-Fi.
Julie said: "We are glad to be able to help the local community in this way as this is a big issue just now and with our help should take a bit of the extra expense off them."
Anyone is welcome to attend the warm bank at the Link Church between 11.30am and 2pm each Monday.
