AN OPERA student has stepped up and saved the Dunfermline Choral Union's Spring concert.
The production, which will now be taking place at the Vine Conference Centre on Saturday, March 4, at 7.30pm, was previously postponed after Dunfermline-born soloist, Elizabeth McCormack was sadly forced to withdraw unexpectedly from the show.
Now, her student, Charlotte Bateman, a talented opera singer studying at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, will be performing in her place.
With extensive choral and operatic experience, Charlotte was a vocal scholar at the Junior Royal Academy of Music, and studied her at the University of Bristol.
She will be a welcome addition to the concert which will feature work such as John Rutter's 'Magnificat' and 'The Armed Man' by Sir Karl Jenkins.
Tickets are available to purchase at dunfermlinechoralunion.co.uk with a limited number available at the door on the night.
Prices start at £5 for students and under 18s, £14 for adults and £12 concessions.
