SIGNAGE is being improved in an attempt to relieve parking issues on a busy Dunfermline road.

Residents living in Appin Crescent have raised concerns to local councillor Aude Boubaker-Calder who has been attempting to help find a solution to help.

She explained: "The parking situation is getting out of hand for some of the residents. When they mention it to the person parking, they can be quite aggressive. Something I would love is parking restrictions in the area.

"Especially for people during match times but I am not sure if that is possible."

Fife Council lead officer Lesley Craig confirmed measures were already in place to stop problem parking.

“All parking on Appin Crescent is restricted to 20 mins (with no return within 40 mins), between 8am and 6pm, from Monday to Saturday. So, no football traffic vehicles should be parked there." she said.

“We are currently improving signage in the area and have requested that parking enforcement is increased on match days.

“Anyone travelling to the football by car can park for free at Leys Park Road Car Park."
