A NEW business in Rosyth had products flying off their shelves on their opening week.

Layla and Isa's Pet Supplies store opened their doors on Saturday, March 18, and since then have seen great support from their community.

Anise Shihadf, who owns the Crossroads Place store, named it after his beloved dogs, Layla and Isa.

He told the Press: "The honest answer, I couldn't have asked for it to have been any better than what it's turned out. So far so good!

"Saturday we opened and we were a bit behind with the leaflets and the website so we only advertised on Facebook. We've still not got the leaflets but I expected it to be busy because I know the area and I know the area needs something like this but honestly, it's been incredible.

"We had over 150 sales on the day we opened and there was three or four hundred people in the shop."

The store offers a range of products including accessories, toys and raw food for cats and dogs as well as supplies for small pets too. They are focusing on offering these products at a reasonable price, they aren't just running a business, they want to build a community too.

Anise continued: "We live with animals ourself, we care about the animals and their health and that's why we want to try and sell everything bellow the recommended retail price.

"We're here to make a reasonable wage but we're not here to make millions and rip people off. We're trying to do it as reasonable as possible."

In the future, Anise is hoping to put chairs and tables out front or even organise a doggy daycare so that they can build their relationship with the community and offer a real asset to pet owners.

"We do it from the heart and I am sure people will realise that, we're not just in it for the money, we do it from the heart."
