FIFE COUNCIL are running free activities for children during the Easter break.

The local authority are making it easier for parents to keep their kids entertained during the school holidays by running a full programme of free activities for children of all ages right across the Kingdom.

Councillor Linda Erskine, spokesperson for communities and leisure services, said: “Sport and physical activity are so important for our children and young people and being active in a social setting can be beneficial for their physical and emotional well-being.

“As a Council we recognise that, right now, many families can’t afford any kinds of activities for their children. The ever-increasing cost of living is affecting everyone in some ways, and for those who were previously just getting by it is a major issue. We don’t want any of our children to miss out just because of a lack of funds. We invest in these programmes because we know in the long run they can benefit the wider society, as our children grow up happier and healthier.”

A variety of free and low cost activities are on offer. For more information on what is on offer, the activity locations and opening times, visit https://active.fife.scot/activities/campaigns/active-families.
