GENERATIONS of orthopaedic consultants gathered to mark the opening of NHS Fife's National treatment centre.
The most senior of the gathering of NHS Fife medics past and present was 102 year-old Mr Spence who retired back in 1980.
A special lunch was held to mark the occasion.
As reported by the Press, the new £33m facility, which welcomed its first patients last week, boasts three operating theatres, a supporting inpatient ward and associated outpatient facilities.
