A FIRE affecting some rubbish within a woodland area resulted in an emergency response in Limekilns.
Firefighters were alerted shortly after 6pm on Sunday to reports of an incident near to Brucehaven Road.
One appliance and crew were mobilised to the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 6.28pm on Sunday, April 9 to reports of a fire near to Brucehaven Road, Limekilns, Fife.
"Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting some rubbish within a woodland area.
"There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe."
