WEST Fife jobseekers are being invited to get on track with a career with the Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.

A careers roadshow is taking place today (Monday) at Dunfermline's Carnegie Leisure Centre from 4pm until 7pm.

Similar events will also take place in Glenrothes on April 24 and in Cupar on May 1.

The move comes as the trust recently announced it will extend opening hours and timetables at Dalgety Bay Leisure Centre, Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre and East Sands Leisure Centre in Cupar with an expanded timetable at Burntisland's Beacon Leisure Centre during the summer period.

With 14 sites across Fife and a wide range of programmes and facilities the trust is looking to recruit people who are enthusiastic and passionate about customer service and the health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity.

Potential roles include gym staff, swimming instructors, group fitness instructors, leisure attendants, reception and administration staff.

In addition to being part of a dynamic and community-focused organisation, employees of the trust are entitled to free access to its programmes and facilities with its Active Staff card, regular personal development training opportunities and 30 per cent discount for friends and families to Leisure Active – the trust’s low-cost membership scheme.

Sharon Johnstone, operations manager of Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “We’d love to see as many people as possible come along to the careers road shows, meet some of our team and find out more about the jobs on offer and the trust’s charitable commitments to making a difference to local communities.

“There are lots of opportunities available to those who are looking to make a career in the sports and leisure industry and we’re ready to welcome anyone with the right skills and experience who can help us deliver high quality sports and leisure opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.”
