SAFETY concerns have been raised for youngsters near a Dunfermline primary school after a "near miss".
Parents at Bellyeoman Primary have been urged to ensure their children remain safe while crossing a road at the nearby Balfour Court.
A message put out by the school stated: "We have had a call from a concerned resident in Balfour Court regarding children running onto the road, scootering and cycling without waiting on the pavement to check for traffic.
"The resident had a near miss on the last day of term and this street is also where one of our pupils was in an accident on her bike with a delivery van.
"Can you please stress to your children, that although this is a quiet side street, there is still vehicular access and for them to be as cautious as they would be on the main roads."
