THE Captain David Seath Memorial Fund 5k is set to return this Sunday (April 23).

Taking place in Pittencrieff Park, the event is in support of the David Seath Memorial Fund, which was set up in memory of Dunfermline-born Captain David Seath who tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while running the 2016 London Marathon in aid of Help for Heroes.

All ages and abilities are welcome to take part and complete the 5k at their own pace. For those who can't make it in person, there's the opportunity to complete the 5K virtually, from anywhere at any time over the weekend.

Since he passed away in 2016, David's fund has raised £350,000 in support of veterans and their families through Help for Heroes. This has become David's legacy and it has made a significant difference to veterans across Scotland, whether that be through mental health and wellbeing, employability and education pathways and more.

The fundraiser is set to begin at 10.30am in the park. To take part, book a space for just £6 per person by visiting Eventbrite or donate on the day.
