A CHILD had to be rescued by firefighters in Dunfermline after becoming trapped in a vehicle.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue service (SFRS) mobilised one appliance to the scene in Pittencrieff Park yesterday afternoon (Thursday) near to the Glen Pavilion.
The crew helped release the child who had been locked inside a car.
A SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.45pm on Thursday, 20 April to reports of a person in need of assistance in Dunfermline.
"Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance to the city's Pittencrieff Park where firefighters helped to release a child who had become locked in a vehicle.
"Crews thereafter left the scene. There were no casualties."
