A Dunfermline woman hit her ex-partner in the face then assaulted his 77-year-old mum.

Natasha Cornwell, 35, of Allan Crescent, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and was put on a ‘tag’.

She admitted that on December 4 at Gellatly Road, Dunfermline, she assaulted her ‘ex’ by striking him on the head with her hand.

She also assaulted his mum by knocking her glasses from her face.

Depute fiscal Andrew Brown said the couple had been in a relationship for nine years.

The man had been working and when he returned home, accompanied by his mum, Cornwell was there and was intoxicated.

An argument started and Cornwell hit him on the face, which resulted in his mum trying to break it up.

Cornwell then knocked the woman’s glasses off.

Cornwell did not seem apologetic afterwards telling police: “I should have stabbed him in the eye, f****** p****.”

Defence solicitor Amy Harley said: “The relationship is over but they remain friends.

“She was binge drinking at the time. She’s apologetic and embarrassed.”

Sheriff Susan Duff told Cornwell: “This was an unpleasant incident caused by your alcohol consumption.”

She imposed a six-month restriction of liberty order.
