A driver who left the scene of a crash has been traced in Crossgates and arrested after testing positive for cannabis.
Police said a crash involving one car happened near Cowdenbeath on Saturday night, with the vehicle involved then being driven away. The car and driver were later traced in Crossgates where the arrest and positive drugs test were carried out.
Police stated: "We were alerted to a crash near Cowdenbeath involving one car that had then driven off.
"Fife Road Policing officers attended and a short time later traced the driver and car in Crossgates. Arrested due to a positive DrugWipe for Cannabis and bloods taken."
