HIGH value items including a safe containing jewellery have been stolen from a property in West Fife.

Officers from Police Scotland have made an appeal for information after a break-in at a house on West Road in Charlestown between April 19 and 23.

Entry was gained to the property and "a number" of belongings were taken.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious people or vehicles in the areas of Limekilns, Charlestown and Crombie has been asked to come forward.

A statement from the force said: "We are appealing for information after a break-in at a house in Charlestown.

"The incident happened at a property of West Road, Charlestown between the 19th April and the 23rd April.

"Entry was gained to the property and a number of high value items were stolen, including a safe containing jewellery.

"Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and l would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious people or vehicles in the areas of Limekilns, Charlestown and Crombie to get in touch.

"This may have been at any point between 4pm on Wednesday, April 19, and 4pm on Sunday, April 23.
