A FIRE which took hold in open space in Dunfermline triggered an emergency response.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was alerted to the scene on Frederick Crescent shortly before 8pm on Thursday.
One appliance was mobilised and firefighters extinguished a grass fire.
A SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 7.53pm on Thursday, 27 April to reports of a fire in the open on Frederick Crescent, Dunfermline.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene where firefighters extinguished a grass fire.
"There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene at 8.07pm."
The cause of the fire has not been disclosed.
