THE Forth Road Bridge has been closed in both directions due to a police incident.
Emergency services are in attendance with the footbridge expected to remain closed into this evening.

Public transport services are being diverted with Stagecoach confirming some bus cancellations, including the X55 towards Dunfermline timetabled to leave Edinburgh earlier this afternoon.
The operator is providing live updates for bus services on its Twitter account.
Traffic Scotland announced the closure at 4.14pm this afternoon.
