A DUNFERMLINE supermarket has donated school shoes, socks and underwear to the Children's Clothing Bank Dunfermline (CCBD).
Julie McKell, the community colleague from Asda St Leonards, handed in the donations and is already organising another donation of school uniform for the clothing bank.
Mary-Grace Smith, a trustee of CCBD, told the Press: "Referrals to the Clothing Bank continue to come in to us. We’ve noticed an increase in requests for school uniform in recent weeks which is a bit earlier in the year than we would usually expect as we tend to receive the majority of school uniform requests over the summer holidays. This generous donation from Asda has come at the perfect time to help with these recent referrals.”
To donate any children's pre-loved clothes, head along to 21 Chalmers Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and midday or on Saturdays between 2-4pm.
