OVER £2,000 was raised at a fun-filled charity afternoon tea last week.
Over 100 ladies attended the event organised by the Dunfermline Inner Wheel which was held at Wee Jimmy's in Cowdenbeath.
Jennifer Grieve, from the club, said: "The event was primarily in aid of the Zambia Book Bus trying to improve the literacy of children in that country by taking the bus to more remote areas of that country.
"Inner Wheel has already given thousands of children’s books and this event will help to fund the running costs of the bus.
"It was a very successful event raising over an amazing £2000. Part of this money will also be used to support local charities we, as a club, are committed to support and have done for many years."
