FIREFIGHTERS were called to Halbeath Retail Park after reports of an incident near B&M.
A small quantity of cardboard was found alight after crews arrived at the scene shortly before 4pm this afternoon (Thursday).
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that one appliance was mobilised and remains on scene.
A spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.56pm on Thursday, May 4 to reports of a fire in the open near to Halbeath Retail Park, Dunfermline.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters are working to extinguish a small quantity of cardboard which is alight.
“There are no reported casualties and crews are still at the scene.”
