A Halbeath man has been ordered to do unpaid work for abusive behaviour towards his ex-partner.

This included driving his car in front of hers in Kelty to box her in.

Stuart Vallentyne, 38, of Fod Street, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that between December 8, 2021, and January 25 last year at various streets in Kelty, he engaged in an abusive course of conduct towards his former partner.

He sent abusive, offensive and threatening messages via social media, placed his vehicle in front of hers to box her in, got out of his vehicle and shouted at her.

He attended at Whitegates Terrace uninvited, shouted, swore and repeatedly sent her unwanted emails.

Defence solicitor Alan Davie said, “He’s not proud of his conduct.”

Sheriff Charles Macnair imposed a community payback order with 135 hours of unpaid work.
