A Dunfermline man assaulted his partner by biting, throttling and punching her.
The domestic abuse carried out by 24-year-old Ethan Cartwright lasted more than two years.
Cartwright, currently a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that between November 6, 2020, and November 11, 2022, at addresses in Dunfermline, he engaged in an abusive course of behaviour towards his partner.
He shouted at her, headbutted her, bit her on the body, demanded to see her mobile phone, pinned her to a bed and pushed her face into a mattress, seized her by the throat and compressed it, restricting her breathing.
He grabbed her mouth and nose, punched her on the head and body, pinned her against a fence, struck her on the body with his knee, punched her on the body, seized her by the hair, pushed her against a wall, made abusive remarks to her, threatened to kill himself, punched walls, and struck her on the head with his hand and his knee. He also ripped her clothing, all to her injury.
He also admitted that on October 21 last year, at Kirkgate, he was unlawfully in possession of a knife.
Sheriff Charles Macnair called for reports and Cartwright will remain in custody until sentencing on June 8.
