A Dunfermline woman threatened to post naked photos of another female online.

The incident occurred after Chantelle Mitchell fell out with a former friend and workmate.

Mitchell, 27, of Broomhead Drive, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

She admitted that between March 23 and April 23 last year, she engaged in an abusive course of conduct towards the female by repeatedly sending her text messages, voice mails, telephone calls and through social media using abusive and offensive language.

She threatened to disclose naked photographs of her on social media, threatened to disclose intimate information about her and posted a photograph of her dog and threatened to kill it.

She also admitted that on July29 last year she breached bail conditions by approaching the female.

Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the women had worked together at a nursing home and became friends.

She added that Mitchell had “wanted them to become more than friends” but this feeling was not reciprocated.

This led to Mitchell bombarding the woman with offensive messages and making threats.

Defence solicitor Alan Davie said “a relationship of sorts developed” between the women when they were work colleagues.

He said the threats were made when his client was under the influence of alcohol and the behaviour was “very much out of character”.

Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a community payback order with 150 hours of unpaid work, a fine of £320 and a two-year non-harassment order.
