WEST Fife slimmers have been shedding their clothes all in the name of charity.

Hundreds of bags of clothes have been collected as part of the Big Slimming World Clothes Throw 2023 which took place in April.

The City Hotel-based group collected a massive 142 bags – amounting to £3,525 – with the Touch group weighing in with 98 bags, Rosyth gathering 63, Inverkeithing 59 and Abbeyview gathering 15.

Speaking on behalf of the Slimming World Consultants in the Dunfermline and surrounding areas, Samantha Moat was pleased to have been able to help.

"Not only has it helped to raise desperately-needed funds for our charity partner, it has been inspiring members, getting rid of clothes they’ve slimmed out of (for good!) enabling them to move on to their healthier, slimmer future," she said.

"It gives members a chance to celebrate the difference that they’ve made to their health and the reduced risk of a range of health conditions including some types of cancer, whether they’ve dropped one dress or waist size, or six.”

The fundraising for Cancer Research UK is set to continue this weekend when some members are due to take part in the Race for Life.
