A DUNFERMLINE man has launched a new audio documentary company offering the public the chance to capture memories of their loved ones in time with his bespoke audio 'time capsules'.

Lewis Harrower, 30, launched Time Capsule Productions in January of this year,

He told the Press: "I had this idea for a while, I wanted to record people’s life stories so that they can listen to them, and their family members could listen back once they're gone and find out a little more about them.

"This is a nice way to do that, it's recorded in their own voice, and it has their own personality in it through their music taste and things as well."

The local audio producer studied at Fife College before heading on to the University of Sunderland. He was also in the top five of entrants to the Charles Parker Prize in 2020 leading to his documentary 'Living with Dementia' being aired on BBC Radio 4. He has always been passionate about telling people's stories and his new business is allowing him to do just that.

He said: "You never know what you're going to hear when you're talking to someone and it's just a really big passion project for me, to combine my love of audio and hearing people’s stories."

Lewis is offering a range of packages – a Bronze Capsule, including audio time of at least 30 minutes featuring up to two people; a Silver Capsule, which includes 45 minutes of audio time featuring up to three people; or a Gold Capsule, including audio time of at least one hour with up to four people.

Customers can also purchase a custom capsule, of any length with any number of participants.

And it's not just for older members of the family, Lewis recommends an audio time capsule for everyone, whether it be friends who want to capture their friendships, or parents who want to document their kids’ younger years.

Lewis also offers business packages, and community groups and charity packages.

He added: "I'm trying to offer as much as I can so that it can be available to almost anyone with any price range. I really want this to be something that isn't too limited by cost. It can be quite an investment if you want more of the expensive packages, but I want it to be available to everyone, as much as possible.

"It would be incredible to record as many people's lives stories and have them keep it as much as possible because I know it's important for people.
