WORK to replace the roof of the public toilets in Pittencrieff Park has been completed.

A mix of "Spanish and Welsh" slate tiles have been replaced on the building, which is next to the Italian Garden and opposite the Glen Pavilion.

A Fife Council report said: "It is considered that the proposal would be an improvement on the roofing currently in place, which is damp, unusable and would introduce acceptable traditional materials to match the existing."

The new slates are Spanish and the work has now been finished.
