A window was smashed at a Dunfermline house by a vandal who targeted the wrong property.
The culprit was Joe Hamilton, 28, of Burns Avenue, Armadale, who has appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on June 7, 2021 at Woodpecker Crescent, he smashed a glass panel on a door and smashed a window.
He also admitted that on June 9, 2021, at the Livingston Inn, Main Street, Livingston, he was concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said that £650 worth of damage had been caused and it was a case of “mistaken identity” with Hamilton attacking the property belonging to a complete stranger.
In the other offence, the drugs were valued at up to £400.
Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a community payback order with 180 hours of unpaid work and a four-month restriction of liberty order.
