THE former Junket Cafe in Townhill is to be turned into a home.
DJ Manning Properties received permission from Fife Council last week for change of use for the premises at 4 Loch Street, which will now become a one-bedroom flat.
There will be internal and extrenal alterations to the building, including the installation of a replacement door and windows.
The premises were formerly the Junket Cafe before becoming the Wee Vegan Bakery in November 2020.
However the business was forced to close in October last year after electricity bills soared to more than £600 a month.
Fife Council said the proposals would "bring about the re-use of a redundant vacant premises which would secure its long-term future".
A report added: "The proposed change of use from the vacant café to a flatted dwelling is compatible with its surroundings, and in the context of the appearance of the existing building the proposed works would enhance the character and appearance of the building."
