PICTURESQUE Pittencrieff Park has been named as one of the top places in the UK to enjoy the prettiest cherry blossom.

Researchers from www.sunbingo.co.uk have created a ‘Blossom Hotspot’ index, scoring individual locations out of 10.

Ratings are based on the number of Google searches, the size of park and time it would take to walk round it; officially ranking where to see the UK’s prettiest blossoms.

The Glen has been ranked 10th top blossom hotspot.

Top of the league was Dunster Castle in Somerset which scored 9.3 out of 10 while RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey was second and Kew Gardens in London came third with an overall score of 7.5 out of 10 points on offer.
