AN OUT of this world experience will be on offer at the annual Crossford Children's Gala this weekend.

Fun for all the family will be on offer with a range of activities, rides, inflatables and stalls at the extravaganza.

Gala chairperson Yvonne Kendall said the gala week had already started with football tournaments and children's discos already having taken place this week before the main event on Saturday.

"That's when we will behaving the parade itself," she said. "The theme is Out of the World and we will have a range of Star Wars and little stars, aliens from Toy Story, astronauts. The kids have gone absolutely wild with the costumes – it is going to be amazing.

"We have got three big fairground rides and three little ones for the wee ones and there will be all the inflatables there and a few surprises as well.

"We will have Ignite Dancers who are a local dance group providing entertainment and Stevie Agnew is going to be doing some vocals. We have got Andy and Phil, our resident DJs, who will be doing the hosting on the day.

"We have all the food stalls, scouts doing burgers, an animal person with exotic animals."

Led by the Dunfermline Pipe band, the parade starts at Logie House at 11am and will go down the Main Street, onto Cairneyhill Road then into George V Park.

Yvonne added: "We would like to thank everyone who has got involved and helped us. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes which makes it happen."
