A TEENAGER climbed on to an under-deck gantry below the Forth Road Bridge when armed with a scalpel on two occasions within a week.
The 18-year-old, from Aberdeen, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from custody.
She admitted that on April 17 at the Forth Road Bridge she was unlawfully in possession of a scalpel blade.
She then repeated this offence on April 24.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said police were called out to deal with the incidents.
The teenager had climbed over a barrier and was on an area underneath the bridge where she initially failed to engage with officers.
She was eventually brought to safety and she handed over a scalpel to the officers.
At 9.45pm a week later, she was back on the same part of the bridge.
Defence solicitor Aime Allan said her client had a background of mental health difficulties and on one of these occasions she used the scalpel blade to harm herself.
Sheriff Andrew Berry imposed a structure deferred sentence with a first review on June 21 in Aberdeen.
