A NEW seal pup has been born at Deep Sea World in North Queensferry.

Laura, a female Harbour Seal, gave birth to a beautiful baby boy called Nova earlier this month.

Nova, a healthy pup who enjoyes an after lunch nap on the beach and swimming lessons with his mum, was born at around 5.15pm on Friday, June 2.

Since then, the Deep Sea World zoo team have kept the seal harbour closed off to give mum and baby time to bond.

The enclosure will remain closed off so that the pair can have some privacy, but not to worry, Nova can still be spotted alongside the rest of the harbour seals from the cafe.

When the seal harbour does reopen, it will be in stages. To keep updated on Nova and the reopening of his enclosure, follow Deep Sea World.
