A weather warning for thunderstorms covering much of the country, including Fife, is in place for tomorrow (Saturday, July 8).
The Met Office has issued a 'yellow' warning for heavy downpours and thunderstorms, which is in place from 9am until midnight.

Weather forecasts suggest thunderstorms are most likely in the Dunfermline and West Fife area from around 1pm until late evening.
The Met Office warns that there is a risk of flooding and the possibility of damage to buildings, and where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to public transport.

Police in Fife are reminding motorists to drive to the conditions, plan ahead and increase stopping distances in the wet.
For those attending outdoor events this weekend, they are being urged to be prepared and dress appropriately for the weather.
