ALMOST 200 people walked, skipped and ran for the NHS' 75th birthday at Dunfermline Parkruns last weekend.
The weekly parkruns at Pitterncreif Park and Duloch Park were just two of hundreds that celebrated the NHS' milestone anniversary by inviting participants to take part while wearing blue.
Andrew Aird, the parkrun ambassador for Fife, told the Press: "All the events in Fife supported the NHS, it was a really good event with quite a positive vibe.
"Lots of folks turned up wearing blue and it was just a really good morning."
An impressive 192 people took part in the parkrun, with 37 of those having never participated before.
The event was made possible thanks to the hard work of the 22 volunteers.
Peter Gibson was the first male finisher with a time of 18 minutes and 36 seconds while Anna Armitage was the first female finisher with a time of 22 minutes and 48 seconds.
Derek Hunter, who was the tailwalker, crossed the line in 51 minutes and 35 seconds, showing that the event is suitable for all, whether walking, jogging or running.
