DRIVERS have been caught doing nearly double the speed limit of a West Fife road.
Two motorists were stopped by police on the B981, which passes North Queensferry, Inverkeithing and Crossgates, on Thursday.
The stretch officers had been monitoring has a 30mph limit, but both cars were clocked above 50mph.
Police Scotland confirmed that the drivers have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
One had been going 52mph while another was travelling at 56mph.
Police Scotland's road policing unit posted on social media: "Fife Road Police were carrying out speed checks on the B981 today. "The drivers of these two vehicles will be reported to COPFS for driving at these speeds within a 30mph speed limit."
