Diamond celebrations are taking place for one Rosyth couple this weekend.

Archie and Morag Terras tied the knot on July 27, 1963 and today (Thursday) marks their 60th anniversary.

The couple first met while at the dancing in Dunfermline's Ballroom when Archie asked Morag to dance with him.

They married in Dunfermline Registry Office before moving to England for work.

They went onto have three children, Angela, Susan and Jamie, before moving back to West Fife. After initially staying in Broomhead flats, they got their first family home in Camdean, Rosyth where they have lived ever since.

Archie, 81, worked as a plasterer all his working life before he eventually retired in his early seventies.

Morag, 78, worked in the civil service then as a clerkess at Lyle and Scott before moving to the NAAFI at Rosyth Dockyard before taking up a post at the Bank of Scotland where she worked before retiring at the age of 60.

The couple, who also have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, are holding a celebration this weekend to mark the special occasion.
