TWO fires which took place in Rosyth this morning are being treated as 'wilful' by police.

Emergency service attended at properties in Duffy Place and Queensferry Road after reports of house fires.

Crews first raced to Duffy Place just before 5.30am.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the town's Duffy Place, where firefighters extinguished a fire within the roof-space of a dwelling.

"Crews left the scene after working to make the area safe.

"There were no casualties."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said they were called to a report of a fire at an address on Duffy Place, Rosyth at around 6am on Tuesday morning.

“The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured," they said. “It is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 0472 of July 25.”

Hours later, emergency service were on scene at a house fire on Queensferry Road.

The SFRS spokesperson added: "We were alerted at 7.59am on Tuesday, July 25 to reports of a dwelling fire in Rosyth.

"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the town's Queensferry Road, where firefighters extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.

"There were no casualties."

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed noone was injured in the second fire and added: “It is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 0656 of 25 July.”
