A DUNFERMLINE man who sent threatening messages to the new partner of his ‘ex’ has been sentenced to unpaid work.

Kevin Feeney, 35, of Abel Place, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on June 13 he sent messages via Facebook that were grossly offensive and made threats of violence.

Depute fiscal Louise Graham said the messages included, “Phone me the now or I’ll come and get you” and calling the man “a wee pussy”.

He then sent the threat “I’m going to f****** kill you” and said he was heading to Valleyfield to find him.

Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “He entirely accepts the messages shouldn’t have been sent.”

Sheriff Susan Duff imposed a community payback order with 120 hours of unpaid work.
