A FAMILY-OWNED Dunfermline business has appointed its new CEO.
The city's Muir Group celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this year and has now revealed who will be taking on its top role.
Martin Smith started his career in 1994 as an engineer with Muir Group and has gone on to work in a number of senior management positions through different companies.
The University of Strathclyde graduate will now be returning to take over the position of CEO.
He said: “Having joined Muir Group at the start of my career 30 years ago, I feel very privileged to return in the capacity of CEO and look forward to engaging positively with the many talented people across the company and our supply chain, as we work together to strengthen our position in the marketplace and achieve our shared goal of future growth across the Group.”
Muir Group comprises a diverse portfolio of six subsidiaries including construction, homes, timber systems, property development, and property investment arms, as well as owning and operating Deer Park Golf and Country Club in Livingston.
Last year, Muir had turnover of £85m with net assets of £87m.
