Search the Public Notice PortalTHE former BAE training school in Dalgety Bay is set to be torn down.
Mr Geoff Crown from BAE Systems submitted prior notification to Fife Council for the demolition of the training school at Kelvin Building on North Way in the Hillend Industrial Park, which has now been approved.
The former training school is a single-storey building that used to house heating oil tanks and has been redundant since the boilers were converted to gas.
It is being torn down as it is surplus to requirements and uneconomical to refurbish.
The prior notification proposal was approved and therefore full planning permission for the demolition of the structure is not required.

In approving this, a Fife Council planning officer said: "This application for demolition, meets all of the relevant criteria set out in Class 70 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Scotland) Order 1992 (as amended).
"The proposal would, therefore, constitute permitted development and an application for prior approval or full planning permission would not be required."
