A DUNFERMLINE business was forced to evacuate its premises after a suspected gas leak.
Staff at Kwikco Supplies Ltd, based in Dickson Street, were asked to leave on Friday and have had to work remotely while waiting for the area is made safe.
Director Fraser Braisby said they were evacuated on Friday morning.
"There have been about 20-odd guys out working and they have dug up the front of the car park and the rear of the yard," he explained.
"We are all working remotely until we can get back in.
"SGN have been really good keeping us up to date. They have people working 24/7 to get it resolved."
Waseem Hanif, a spokesperson for gas distribution company SGN, confirmed they were carrying out emergency repairs to their gas network in Dickson Street.
"As a precaution, we’ve asked two local businesses to vacate their premises while we complete our repairs," he said.
"We’re working as quickly and safely as possible however, it’s too early to say how long repairs will take to complete at this stage."
