FREE bus travel for Outwith Festival revellers will be offered by Stagecoach.

The bus operator has partnered with Outwith to offer free Adult East Scotland Dayrider tickets during the festival's all day music event.

Those who have purchased tickets will be emailed with a special discount code to be used when buying bus travel.

This will cover the Stagecoach network across Fife, Perth and Kinross, Dundee and Angus and as far as Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

To make use of the offer ticket buyers should download the Stagecoach Bus App and register or sign in.

Once an East Scotland Adult DayRider ticket is added to the basket, you must enter the discount code emailed by Outwith Festival.

After check-out the free travel ticket will sit in the 'My Tickets' section of the app, ready to be activated and shown to the bus driver.

The discount code is limited to one use per email address and can only be used on Saturday, September 9, to travel to an Outwith Festival event.

The free tickets will be based on a first come first served basis.

Scott Hall, Head of Commercial for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “The festival is a charity run by local volunteers and we’re keen to support this event and encourage people to use sustainable transport to travel to the festival.

"Hopefully, this saving will encourage people to travel from Glasgow, Dundee and Perth as well as from local areas to support the event in our community."

Louise Reid, of Outwith Festival, said: “This is a fantastic partnership that reduces the cost for people travelling to the festival while encouraging audiences to use public transport.”

Outwith Festival kicks off next week in Dunfermline with a line up of events running from Wednesday, September 6, until Sunday, September 10.

Tickets are available on the www.outwithfestival.co.uk website.
