CONSENT has been given to turn the upper floors of a listed building in Dunfermline from dilapidated empty offices into flats.

Mr Kam Tong Man, of Rosyth, got the go-ahead from Fife Council to convert the property at 30-32 Queen Anne Street.

He's received listed building consent and has now also gained approval for full planning permission.

The ground floor, which is occupied by Envy Hair and Beauty, will be unaffected with development to take place on the upper floors of the category B listed building.

"The second floor is to be reinstated as a two-bedroom flat.

"Both office spaces are in an extremely poor state of repair, requiring a considerable upgrade for them to be habitable and have been vacant and unable to let as commercial premises for several years.

"The most recent marketing was in 2019 by Shepherds Chartered Surveyors and there was no interest in the offices at all."

Previous plans to convert the offices into flats were withdrawn in March 2021 and again in November 2022.
